A short film written by Peter Boothby LA Noir is set in 1940’s LA and follows the shocking events in which a henpecked writer attempts to dispose of the body of his wife who he murdered in a crime of passion.
This project was chosen as means to test out the company’s ability to work in entirely digital environments. As part of it’s extensive development – three city blocks of 40’s LA was modeled entirely in computer. The plan for the short now is to shoot foreground elements and performances in a controlled studio environment and marry these up digitally. Scenes include interior of the apartment bathroom, the fire escape, the leads car and ocean.
"Gate House brought an innovative and exciting edge to our project"
