‘Nickolai of the North’ is a truly original reinvention of an old legend, an action adventure fairy tale based on Santa’s origins. Set long ago, in a time when the northern lights spilled magic into the world, we journey with Nickolai, the last surviving elf and witness the events that sparked the creation of Christmas.

Raised by humans in the settlement of Norsk just below the Artic Circle – Nickolai grows into adolescence as somewhat of an outcast. As climate change and a decrease in trade forces the community to abandon their homes, he journeys with them north, where rumour tells of the mysterious city of Doransk, kept eternally warm under a dome of light and offering riches to all inhabitants.

Once inside it’s deceptive walls, he uncovers the fate of his elven ancestry and the treachery of it’s powerful ruler -- Queen Magda! Battling her and the goblin army, Nickolai fights to save himself, his friends, his people and through this, finds a renewed sense of destiny which sets into play the essence of the seasonal ritual we know today.
